Calabria is the most south region of the Italian continent. Pictorially spoken it takes the boot top of the Italian peninsula. Calabria borders in the north on the Basilicata, in the west to the Tyrrhenian sea and in the east to the Ionic sea. The street of Messina separates Calabria from the island Sicily.
